How it works

  1. Send your details

Call or email us. Send your latest electricity bill and photos of your roof and DB board.

  2. Site assessment

We check your roof, your DB board and how you use power. Then we size the system to fit.

  3. Itemised quote

Every component is listed, so you can see what each part of the system costs.

  4. Install, CoC, SSEG

We install and test the system. You get your CoC, and we handle the SSEG registration with your municipality.

Questions we get asked

What is a CoC and why do I need one?

A CoC is an Electrical Certificate of Compliance. A registered person signs it to confirm the electrical work was done and tested to the regulations. Your insurer may ask for it. You need one when you sell the property. Many municipalities also ask for it as part of the SSEG process. You get one with every install.

What is SSEG registration?

SSEG stands for Small-Scale Embedded Generation. Municipalities require approval for solar systems that connect to the grid, including hybrid systems with batteries. We handle the registration with your municipality. Requirements differ from one municipality to the next, so we check what yours needs.

Do you work outside Cape Town?

Yes. We are based in Cape Town and take on projects nationwide. Send your location with your bill and photos and we will come back to you.

Which brands do you install?

Deye, Sunsynk, Victron Energy, Huawei, Growatt and Pylontech for inverters and batteries. LONGi, JinkoSolar, JA Solar and Canadian Solar for panels. Other leading brands on request. We are not tied to any brand. We recommend what fits how you use power.

Can you add to or fix a system someone else installed?

Usually, yes. First we assess what is already there: inverter, batteries, panels, wiring and DB board. Then we tell you what can stay, what needs fixing and what it takes to get a CoC.
